Vote for Gary at the IN Glamour Awards!

One of Northern Ireland’s most anticipated and talked about events is only a matter of days away as celebrity and social monthly, IN! Magazine, is preparing for its annual Glamour Awards once again.

The event, which will be hosted by TV presenter Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford in the stunning opulence of the Merchant Hotel on 8th October, is now in its third year and will see over 100 glamorous guests from across the UK and Ireland take to the red carpet for an evening of gourmet food and of course, glamorous awards.

With musical stars on the guest list such as Rachel Tucker, Cara Dillon and Sinead Quinn, the entertainment is certainly something to be anticipated too. Previous winners at the glittering awards ceremony Eamonn and Ruth, will look to hand over their title of ‘Most Glamorous Couple’ in 2009 to one of six loved up couples including television star Christine Bleakley and footballer fiancé Frank Lampard as well as Apprentice contestant Jim Eastwood with his wife and new mum Paula.

Other nominees for the main awards include former Miss Northern Ireland Joanne Salley, Hollywood actress Jayne Wisener and FHM’s High Street Honey Katie Larmour. And representing the males are actor Liam Neeson as well as Major golf champions Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy plus local radio stars Alan Simpson and Pete Snodden, among many other well-known faces.

Not only will the event announce the deserving winners of each of the regular six principal categories, which are sponsored by businesses including hugely successful Northern Irish tan brand Vita Liberata, Volvo SMW Belfast, hairdresser Andrew Mulvenna, airline BMI, Sandown Dental & Implant Clinic and The Merchant Hotel, but this year the ceremony also welcomes an entirely new category; ‘Most Stylish Professional’ sponsored by MCE Public Relations, where IN! Magazine readers will be invited to nominate a woman who stands out not just for her sense of style, but also for her achievements in her given profession.

The ambassador award, which will be hotly contested by Irish President Mary McAleese as well as Hollywood actor Liam Neeson among others, is also open to the public vote. A full list of the seven categories and the shortlisted nominees can be found in the September edition of IN! magazine which is on sale now as well as online at www.in-magazine.co.uk where readers and celebrity fans can put their stamp on the night by placing their votes! There will also be a prize for ‘Most Glamorous on the Night’ sponsored by chic Hillsborough boutique Candy Plum as well as an exclusive spot prize for one of the lucky guests in attendance.

Organiser and IN! publisher Lisa Harrison said: “The event has been hugely successful for the past two years and we’re looking forward to yet another glamorous evening celebrating the very best of all things Northern Irish. In the past we have raised significant sums for Children in Need and we’re delighted to be doing the same again this year, so who knows, maybe Pudsey himself will make an appearance on the red carpet.”

Rovsters very own Gary McCausland has been nominated for the "Male Personality of the Year" award - as a representative of NI, the finalists in this category possess a certain attitude and inner confidence, that combined with their sense of style, makes them a popular role model for others.

Last year all proceeds from the Awards were donated to Children in Need, and once again they are proud to be supporting such a worthwhile charity.

On the ‘Vote’ page they have listed the nominees in each category and would ask you to present three finalists in each category to the expert judging panel who will select the worthy winner to be announced on the night.
