World's most expensive residential space

Monaco has broken the record... well more myth, that London has held to now. Monaco holds the most expensive residential spaces in the world.

The average cost of a house or apartment in Monaco is $65,000 a square metre. London landed in second place with some of its most expensive residential properties going for $56, 300, followed by Shanghai, New York and Paris.

The purchase of La Belle Epoque a 1,600 square metrs penthouse in Monaco sold for $340m, making it Monaco's biggest deal in the last year.
