Rescue to reform Budget

Measures to rescue to reform budget include:

- Taxpayers paying 40% income tax will be £45 a year better off.

- Taxpayers paying 20% income tax are promised tax cuts of £320.

- First time buyers offered interest free loans to get on the housing ladder.

- Scrapping a 1p-a-litre fuel duty rise.

- A freeze in air passenger duty

- Corporation tax cuts

- A rise in duty on a packet of 20 cigarettes and super-strength lagers.

- A rise in state pension.
